The forum was updated from a very old version of phpbb to the latest version.

Because the old version was so old, the theme was no longer compatible with the new version.

I felt the need to post somewhere how pleased am to have used Rome circa 50bce as the setting for my dnd campaign. I've just changed the place names to make it less obvious. None of my players have figured it out and think that I've done a lot of work on the history. Wonder if they'll figure out who...

Meh. I'm not convinced by the article.
I've done plain text and spreadsheets and found them to be about the same.
Using a database lets me include as much information as I want and will make adding it to my website easier.
