Re: Entertainment/ Media Translation In Europe

I guess I could work for the government, but are there any other options in creative (like localization) or well-paying linguistics careers?

But cultural works? You need to be heavily versed in both cultures and languages involved to get that.
I definitely plan on learning the culture behind a language. It's part of the translation deal.

Re: Entertainment/ Media Translation In Europe

I am pretty willing to learn a country's culture and history in order to fit in. What ever happened to this dream ? I realized it was more trouble than it's worth. @Xing I have no experience, but I intend on learning another skill to help stay afloat. I'm 18, with only a highschool diploma and only...

Re: Entertainment/ Media Translation In Europe

Which languages are you planning to translate? I'm willing to translate to and from English, Hebrew, whatever tongues the country I ultimately decide on works with. The main problem I'm having is, where in Europe would it be profitable to work as a translator? My current choice is Germany, but I fe...

Once there I want to be an entertainment/ media translator or translator period (in order to fund my dream of being in the entertainment industry in some capacity). Question is, where in Europe should I emigrate to...

It tries t o , but all it does is just stick it in and then attack at will like it's tenderizing a steak in there. Also, it should take the hint and stop staying in one place the entire time. The fact that it's only 5 inches long makes just makes matters worse. ... Are you... are you saying...? You...

Re: ASD Over/Under Diagnosis

Anyways, my super-interest are internet review shows like The Nostalgia Critic or JonTron. So do I, and quite interestingly, I find that that also shows a more ASD-related side of me eg, I like watching only a couple of his episodes, but most remarkably, I only watch the ones with the obvious jokes...

For the record, while i said autism, me and Ahzoh have Asperger's more specifically. My friend who also wants to join and who i mentioned in the parent thread has plain old high functioning autism. Also on the parent thread, what i meant by 'suffer' was 'have'. Anyways, my super-interest are interne...
