Elmendayisselin, ta pan yomeniëlma diëndëo.

(As is necessary for such an incomplete conlang, I had to invent a couple of neologisms. Elmendayissë from "Elmenda" (Wonder), meaning "curious (person)." Diëndë means "Dungeons and Dragons" from the acronym "DnD.")

Let's go back to English, I'm awkward with Quenya anyway, though ironically I'm better with it than I am with any non-english natlang.

Well I had no idea what you were saying.

It just sounds like something Inyauk would brand as blatantly foreign.

Here it is then:

A fire burns in my heart. The words tear me. I am without beauty.
Micamo wrote:Elmendayisselin, ta pan yomeniëlma diëndëo.
For those curious, this came from our conversation about DnD.
Micamo wrote:Elmendayan, cenasta "hrótar arë lóci?"
I wonder, maybe "Dungeons and Dragons?" (Literal translation rather than a rebus).

But I'm lonely! I'm tired of talking to myself.

You can talk to yourself. No one is speaking Quenya.

Well I thought I wouldn't be the only elvish fan ;-; (Agyonnar's phonology is a pretty big ripoff of Eldarin in general)

Yeah. You'll never learn if you don't have any practice. That's why I forgot all of my German. (Ich spreche kein Deutsch.)

I've been translating a lot lately, so I guess it stuck.

But I did (and do) practice. I just suck.

It's not just languages, I'm incredibly slow to learn basically everything.

Maybe that's cause you spend all your time online instead of studying! :P

I think I just got lucky in that I'm good with learning languages. (I also like to think I'm quite clever, but I'm hardly a good judge of that.) But I suck ass at naming terms or the abstraction of language.

If there's anything I'm less bad at, it's abstraction to the point of absolute insanity. Care for some Category Theory?
