D'you mean, like, Coptic New Year (which, for the past few years has been 11 Sept)???
:wat:

Yes. I celebrate that.

Ah, the old English reckoning of 25 March. Sadly, only Her Majesty's Revenue still recognises that date as the change of one year to another...

It's been a long time since we had a conlang relay, hasn't it? Is there a reason for that that I've missed or have we just not done one in a while? Those were great fun and I'd be very much up for another.
Edit: Substituted a string instrument for a French interjection.

Yeah, the last one started nearly one year ago. Does anyone wanna start one?

I’ve no lang to take part with though, but maybe I’d rush Núta through the speedlang machine*?

and throw it away afterwards

It didn't have "choke" in the original Arabic.

Short ramblings about boring, inconsequential problems. Feel free to ignore.
Spoiler:
My Spring Semester starts this coming Monday, so I planned to fly back out earlier today, Saturday. Apparently, however, the weather in Indiana must not be ideal at the moment, because at about 11:50 last night, I got a notification saying that my flight had been cancelled. The airline wanted to rebook me on a flight at 5 o'clock on Sunday morning that would fly down to Charlotte, North Carolina before heading out to Indianapolis. Luckily, I saw the notification shortly after I got it, so I was able to find a flight going directly to Indianapolis later on Sunday, and was able to reschedule with the airport shuttle service company. Neither the airline or the shuttle company charged me extra for any of this, and the people I talked to on the phone said they'd been getting lots of calls like mine. At least the flight didn't get delayed several hours after I had already arrived at the gate like it did when I was flying home a few weeks ago.

I am kind of annoyed that I won't be getting back to my dorm until 10 pm on Sunday, though. That really throws a wrench into my plans for what I was going to do once I got back before the semester started, including picking up the textbooks I ordered from the college's bookstore. It's a pain that I won't be able to have the books I need for my classes before those classes start, but that shouldn't cause any problems, and if it does, I think I have a pretty good excuse for why I wasn't able to pick them up in time. In the end, I'm just grateful I'll be able to get there before classes start. This is why I always plan to return to school on Saturdays, so I have Sundays open in case anything goes wrong.

I know I got into the habit of NEVER buying books until after the first class or two. There were occasions in which the professor would discuss the books he didn't plan on using much (or at all) which was sometimes in contradiction with what the sylabus and/or bookstore had in terms of information. You might actually end up with this as a blessing in disguise if you end up saving money on a few books that you find out you don't need.

Image I'm a little bit country...

Image And I'm a little bit rock-n-roll...

I haven't investigated, but surely I'm not the only one online who has seen a resemblance.
