Re: Jim Ben Game

That's a point, though trapping + with one / and + might prove difficult, especially when we have to be careful to not get our / trapped. I'm curious why does he let us capture his ^. In the next move he would at d3, threatening our /, but nevertheless we'll get to his + sooner than he to our /, so ...

oh god, ƕy? because of what not e2 > d2 instead? the advantage is probably savable, albeit at the cost of time.

Yep, it looks like it died. It's a month since we settled on the protolang and it's still not published.

Something makes me think that both : and + can capture each other.

Re: Jim Ben Game

a4* > a4 -keeps his lower ^ out of play. Our / in turn keeps his + out of play, blocking his lower ^ from the top. It's a nice coordination that's achieved here. -I'd say our + is immune as long as our right ^ stays at c4, guarding from /. the c4 ^ is itself immune as long as / stays to the left of ...

Re: Jim Ben Game

Ha! He saw the plan, so he's sacrificing a piece so he doesn't lose. I'm curious how he'd react if I didn't post the image. c2 - c1 and here's our first instance of clear leading in this game. / captures +, so the lower left area will become +safe, we can engage our + to capture his ^. If he goes af...

Re: Compose key for Windows

For most of the time it works fine, but whenever I try to enter these combinations
+ <9а> : <ɐ>;
+ <aа> : <ɑ>;
it only emits "DUM! You're wrong!" system sound. It starts wiðout ɡiviŋ ænɪ ɛɹɚz ðɔʊ.

Re: Jim Ben Game

Let's continue squeezing him http://i.imgur.com/vp2u8i2.png Of course, this is all supposing that both / captures : and two : can't interact with each other. In every move except for 4 he is responding to our initiative - I tried to find the best move for him. Do double check before executing in cas...

Re: Jim Ben Game

I third d* - d1 and snap goes the trap, his + being now surrounded by our /s, movement in any direction will end the game. we could then go d2 - d3 with subsequently d1-d2. I'm growing more and more concerned with our + being isolated. Now that i think of it, we're in some disadvantage with him bein...

Re: Jim Ben Game

Things didn't turn out as expected, but I think we stand better. He has turned to defence and his pieces are seperated in the two corners, whereas ours are connected. We could go after his + now, which at the moment seems quite exposed, with our / on b5, but in 4 moves he could easily find some sort...

Re: Jim Ben Game

we go to c4, he goes to d4, we capture c5, he goes to c4 - I don't know if we're trapped here and we don't know if / captures : either. or we go to c4, he goes e5-d5, we capture c5, only then goes e4-d4 and we're definitely trapped. Or are we? We could go b5-b4. Even if he does capture our ^ with hi...

Re: Jim Ben Game

Leaving our + without a defender ( b4-c4, c5-b5! ), dooming it to an almost certain capture? Rather, I suggest e2 - e3, going for his A.
Nope, better b5* - b5, with the idea of consequently b4-c4, trapping his /.
