Re: What did you accomplish today?
My current constructed language, Cretheon, will be written completely from a historical view point. This allows me to write in a manner that is both culturally rich and fairly accurate, hopefully.

Like nouns, verbs follow a three consonant pattern and declines according to case and person. Here's the declension of the word, kādab (to write). Thanks, I changed /t/ and /d/ to retroflex /ʈ/ and /ɖ/.Creyeditor wrote:IMO alveolar /t/ and /d/ are very likely to be pronounced in some kind of retroflex manner. This would be a better distinction, dental vs. retroflex instead of dental vs alveolar.Demino wrote: Dental : [t̪] [d̪]

Words are formed by using consonantal patterns. k-d-b r-d y-h-d Most plurals are made by either replacing frontals with back vowels or back vowels with frontals. ex : yahed[jɑhɛɖ] (politician) yahúd[jahɔɖ] (politicians) Nouns have to decline for case and gender : Masculine Feminine Neutral Nominativ...
Re: Kudšlaxēn
Which theory of Proto-Semitic do you use? I've thought Proto-Semitic did not have mid-vowels. \ Kudšlaxēn stems from Proto-Semitic, Kudšlaxēn isn't a dialect of Proto-Semitic. /a/ and /ä/ do not contrast in any language. Phoneme theory handles them as the same phoneme. Why not /a~ä/ vs. /ɑ/ instead...
