Re: Zeko-Romance development thread

2. GENERAL FEATURES A Romance language which preserves cases will by necessity have to be peripheral, so as not to be overrun by the variety of Latin named "Proto-Western-Romance" by Wikipedia and "Late Imperial Lingua Franca" by Salmoneus: we're looking at another Sardinian or Romanian. A lot of R...

Re: Guess the Word in Romlangs

lmao, for some reason I thought that vivo was viviverunt. Makes sense it's vixerunt though. So it's "a happy lived one", so it seems like some funeral toast, like "a life well lived"

Re: Guess the Word in Romlangs

my best guess would be that it's from vngo (vnxi) or sth, and that Jackk considers /w/ <v> and /u/ <u> the same at least as far as Latin is concerned

Re: What did you accomplish today?

I made a very very impressive sentence in Learran, based on a translation in the Discord server with a Latin gloss Secreţi me ën infărmatu por mulţe ore. Ew (si) vaţen deja destrăcarmă, fjors fïrvie sēcrētī mē habent īnfirmātum pro multās hōrās. Et-huc 1 sic ??? 2 -quene dēbeat destruicāre 3 -mihi f...

Re: FreeWordOrder SerialVerb Concordial VerbClass

Isn’t it generally true for nouns that their gender doesn’t change as they decline? (Well, Bantu noun-classes are paired, a singular one with a plural one; and two different singular classes can be paired with the same plural class; so they might be an exception to that last sentence.) Yes, in Arab...

Re: Guess the Word in Romlangs

so *vesc- comes from a verb of some sort? Does the /sc/ come from SC in Latin? If so, is it from VESCOR, meaning something like "a happy eater"?
