Re: (L&N) Q&A Thread - Quick questions go here

Well, yeah, maybe not relevant to what I was asking about; but deuced intriguing naetheless! Where can I see more? As I don't know which facet of distinguishing subjects/objects is relevant to your interests, you can copy all previous related sentences "Frank's painting of Al" etc, and just ask how...

^This is simple in my griuskant conlang. However, it has no cases, and re-uses its trigger voice suffixes as process nouns instead. :con: griuskant (without the conscript) gaewyzsaerp /'gewYzˤserp/ demon-kill Demon killings. Re: Religion in conworlds with magic

My conworld has magic and god (whatever its definition is there), though the overlap between these 2 concepts is generally somewhat small. However, religion/culture (again, whatever this means) is sort of conflated there. Yes, there are multiple cultures, all of which contain essences of truth, with...

Re: What did you accomplish today?

In addition to my website that has all content displayed in my conlang and its conscript, I recently started a blog that shows bilingual posts, ie excerpts with English and griuskant translations. I'm not really a person who follows schedules, but perhaps small regular translations like these would ...

Re: What are you listening to/watching?

Last night, I was watching TV. I was pleasantly surprised as I stumbled upon a gem. A character sang a song, which in particular, sounded very griuskant-like, and it's quite possibly the most griuskant-sounding thing I have ever heard on TV [:O] What would my conlang approximately sound like if it w...

Re: (Conlangs) Q&A Thread - Quick questions go here

Does anyone know if one must be an LCS member first before submitting their blog to the conlang aggregator site? Or can anyone just link up with them?

Also, does anyone actually browse/read that website or visit those linked blogs?

Narou lash : A collection of texts from all across the narou region. Narou is one of the many countries where griuskant is spoken in the conworld, though it isn't the place/setting that I usually focus on. For classification purposes, this shall be shelved as a "storybook". https://farm8.staticflic...

Re: Crona (redux)

Hmm, I don't really do much on cognates/etymology for my conlang. The situation above does seem more about morphology to me though. If that is what you are asking, my agglutinative* conlang will always have such words to be related via affixations. Hence, in general, they are related: /'serp/ "killi...

Re: Crona (redux)

Not sure what I could help you with tbh. My conlang has almost the same number/type of front and back clusters as yours, but it is not complex, linguistically. In fact, the clusters and diphthongs actually make the language easier for me. The guideline that I use is basically just "Can I pronounce i...

Re: Writing a Fictional Anthropology: How Do You Do It?

^tbf, my criticism (which probably is a minority opinion here) about that questionnaire is that, even as a person who likes it presented as many bullet points, most if not virtually all answers upon my conworld would be "Not applicable". The questionnaire itself assumes many of its categories to be ...

It isn't winter anymore, but it could feel like it. The travel guide on my conlang website invites you to visit snow regions.

In other news, someone followed my website, and also featured my conlang on his main page. That person uses the Universal Metaconstant conlang. Check it out.

Re: (Conlangs) Q&A Thread - Quick questions go here

Related question: Why do most conlangers assume that fronting is associated with emphasis though? For example, in my conlang, the word that was affected by fronting and/or backing is just as likely to be important. Also, fronting generally does not correlate with emphasis here.
