Try to play with it: rotate 90 degrees and see if it's better vertically, personally i'd prefer it vertically.
Thanks Arzemju! It's the first script I've really been happy with. I'll go see what it looks like vertical; I imagine it'll look quite nice!

My experimental conscript

So, I created a new conscript yesterday. Currently, this sample means nothing; it is just a representation of a few of the shapes put together like a word. It's my first OK-looking conscript in a while. I was just wondering what you all think? http://i54.tinypic.com/f3i4jn.png Edit: You might have w...

Re: How do you organise dictionaries?

I just use a Word document.

I make sections that say "noun," "verb," "adjective," and the like, list the English words (makes translating a lot easier), tab over, and put the definition.

Seems to work for me, but that's just me.

Goodbye!

What is the expression used in parting in your conlang? Also, feel free to include a translation of the phrase into English if the phrase is not just "goodbye." :eng: Goodbye. :esp: Adios. :con: J'Linguonar Avan: Eer filsen. :con: CUE: Il meraţé-elas cariler. Walk the good path. :con: Sendoré: Ieret.

Re: Silly Conlangs?

Oooh! I've always wanted to do a grammar this way but with your phonology it might actually work. Use an analytic system to express intra-clausal syntax and an inflective system across all the words in the clause to express inter-clausal ones. For added sillyness, make all roots monosyllabic, have ...

A show all of us conlangers need to see!

Some people in the Netherlands created an opera... performed in Klingon.

(OK, we don't need to see it for the content. Just the fact it is in a conlang.)

Not sure if this is the proper topic to put it under.

Re: What got you started in Conlanging?

When I was maybe 3, I wanted to learn Chinese after watching Mulan. I thought it looked so much cooler than the Latin alphabet. Plus, I wanted to be able to talk "cooler" than English. So I made up words and said they were Chinese. I loved sending secret notes so I was always making codes to do so. ...

Basic Word List?

I'm trying to get some words into my conlang so I can just start making some sentences. Is there some sort of word list of 100 or so basic words?

Re: Constructed Language Learning Software

A thought: Could you create a program that utilized an acquisition model besides the traditional one? I would be very interested in a game based on an exploratory model, sort of where-are-your-keys- ish, that never actually discussed grammar or verb conjugations are such but rather allowed the play...

What language does Google Translate think your conlang is?

This is a fun experiment you can do with your conlangs. Go to Google Translate, set the "Translate From" language to "Detect Language," then paste in a sample sentence into the box. I pasted in "Us cansé-elas ya majeliţar hai estenilus," which means "They think I made a good conlang" in CUE. Google ...

IPA for your alphabet (going off the semi-english transcriptions you gave) - a: ɑ v: bva c: tʃa d: dða t: ta z: tsa e: ɛ f: θa h: ha i: ɪ j: ʒtʃɑ l: lɑ m: mɑ n: nɑ p: fɑ r: ɹɑ s: sɑ u: uː y: jɑ Now, are these sounds you gave actually how the letters are pronounced, or what there "names" are?
