Re: ¡El mensaje oficial para casi cualquier cosa!

Estoy aprendiendo español porque lo puedo usar mucho en los Estados Unidos. Alemán y francés no hacemos sentido para mí. Y, ¡yo no pronuncio alemán y francés bien! Me gusta que todos nosotros no hablamos español como nuestro primera idioma... Por ejemplo, ¡mi idioma nativa es inglés! Pero, nosotros ...

Re: Currently Unnamed Experiment (CUE) - Comments desired

...Anyway... I will continue explaining CUE. CUE is Object Subject Verb (The ball / she / throws) CUE has 5 tenses at the moment: Continuous Present (-irel), Simple Past (-iţar/-izar), Simple Present (-ilus), Continuous Past, and Possibility. CUE takes inspiration from a little Latin, a little Engli...

Re: ¡El mensaje oficial para casi cualquier cosa!

¡Hola! Antiphlogistine, yo comprendo. Voy a ser en el nivel tres el próximo semestre. Acabo de aprender el pretérito. Pero, me encanta español porque soy bien en las idiomas. Yo no escucho a música español mucho, ¿cuentas Santana como músico español? ¡¡¡Jaja!!! Tengo que cantar en el coro en un minu...

Re: New Logo for CBB

http://www.omniglot.com/scroll.htm No, I didn't ask for an example, I asked what do you think should be written there? Oh, sorry! Hmm, I'm not sure. I was just supporting this idea. What about "Create?" EDIT: Hey, look! I'm part of the nifty Language Flags Signature Club! Cool idea, whoever had thi...

Re: New Logo for CBB

The idea of having something under the logo in random conscripts is a great one! Similar to what they do on the homepage of Omniglot. Like what? http://www.omniglot.com/scroll.htm Can we change the forum's colors? If so, I propose orange or red as the new color. Since CBB has a lot to do with conwo...

Fair enough: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v138/zacinu/cbb_l4.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v138/zacinu/cbb_l1.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v138/zacinu/cbb_l3.png I like 2 and 3. Are we still putting "since 2005?" Also, instead of "New Incarnation," if we're still putting that,...

This is awesome. I think I will name something after Galifrey now. :D
Thanks! I am a Doctor Who fan, so Galifrey was a good inspiration for me. :-D
Also, major awesome points rewarded to you for getting the reference.

Re: Interesting stories behind your conlang.

Avan, in J'Linguonar Avan, is beauty. I got it from Avon, a company that makes cosmetics and other beauty products. Luvé means bacon in a conlang my sister and I created, Sendoré. My sister is crazy about bacon, so she decided bacon is love. This one should get many of the Sci Fi fans out there. Gae...

Ossicone wrote:I suggest <z> for ʦ because one you wont need any diacritics, and two because that is how it is in Italian.

So pizza is /piʦa/ not /piza/.
Hmm, I'm not very fond of the letter z (it seems too "spacey") but diacritics are annoying. I'll try it out anyway. :-)

Re: Currently Unnamed Experiment (CUE) - Comments desired

An alphabet without a language in mind is kinda pointless. Yup, I agree. I have a concept for one in mind, I just haven't gotten it "out of mind," you know? I just haven't written it down. Actually, there are two different R in Spanish. One is like a "tap" of the tongue and the other is like many t...

Re: Currently Unnamed Experiment (CUE) - Comments desired

ipa/xsampa please. why not z for tsa? Cause it's different than z, at least I think it is. Tsa like "ti" in Latin (see http://www.omniglot.com/writing/latin2.htm , near the bottom) I'm writing the IPA on a Word document right now, actually. This phonology leaves little to be commented on as it lack...

Currently Unnamed Experiment (CUE) - Comments desired

CUE is just an experimental alphabet for either a new language or a total revamp of one of my conlangs. I started CUE... a few minutes ago. I would like to have your opinion on it. :-) A - ah - [ɑ] V - bva - C - cha - [tʃ] D - dtha T - ta - [t] Ţ/Z - tsa - [ts] E - eh - [ɛ] F - tha - [θ] (I think) H...
