I thing /c/ should be <c> and and /k/ should be <k>, but other than that I have no opinions yet. Well, I do not really like "k". xd Are those five vowels phonemic? Why do you use [ ] rather than / /, in that case? Well, I used "[]", because there are 10 ways of pronuncation of those phonemic 5 vowe...

What sound do you mean by /y/? Also, you can try to take some sounds from Semitic languages - Arabic emphatic consonants are quite rare. Also, you could put there some [ʔ], [ʕ] or [q]. As somebody already told you: it is more about getting right combination of the sounds, than making similar consona...

1) Overall, does this seem "foreign but not alien" -- that is, does it sound like a natural language that human beings might evolve somewhere, they just haven't done so on our Earth?
