Re: What kind of conlanger are you?

The most obvious assistance suggested is him doing you your conlanging at least in part. Well, yes, I guessed that much, but I was a bit uncertain because I thought my original post didn't suggest I needed help (not that I don't appreciate it). I have an old version of Proto-Littoran grammar and I ...

Re: What kind of conlanger are you?

Looks like I'm a hardcore Filler, to the point where it's paralyzing my ability to conworld - my main focus - because I just cannot have random languages lying around and cannot have made-up words for anything (they all must be from the conlangs), I must make all their ancestor languages, and the o...

Re: The First Few Steps into a World of Wonderment

Welcome to the forums! I'm the weird bloke who leaves for extended periods of time then returns to the forums unannounced, but anyhow, as others said, if you don't speak multiple languages (or at least are passingly familiar with more than one), the best place to start would be languages that are re...

Do they have cookies?

What is considered incest for them?

How do they deal with outside cultures, if any?

Re: The Cool Animals/Plants Thread (Dead or Alive)

Just read up on the island of Socotra the other day (off the coast of Yemen and Somalia for those of you who don't know) and it has some pretty intersting rare fauna and flora. Like the awesomely named Dragon tree/Dragon blood tree, which looks like some huge shroom thing: https://upload.wikimedia.o...

Re: Kaynur Art!

These are really beautiful. They look sort of like a cross between Uralic and Native American artwork. Okay, 'Native American' is a bit broad but I know of some native American cultures that have artwork like this, unfortunately I forgot their names.

Back in high school, my female friends were 100% dirtier than my male friends. Sure, my male friends may have been louder, but they knew when to stop, and stop they did. My female friends, not so much.

Actually buddhist crusaders would be fucking awesome! Buddhist Crusaders... Buddhist Templars... "WE KILL HEATHENS IN THE NAME OF THE BUDDHA WHO TAUGHT US NOT TO KILL!" "YOU MUST PROMISE NOT TO KILL OR WE WILL KILL YOU!" "DIE, INFIDEL, OR CONVERT TO BUDDHISM AND NEVER KILL ANYTHING AGAIN!" The iron...
