Re: Poljoishos

I like the difference between long and short diphthongs as well. And that looks like quite a lot of sound changes! Will this conlang be significantly influenced by other languages? What does the notation used to represent these changes: t/θ/_/_s b/p/_/_ʰ d/t/_/_ʰ gʷ/kʷ/_/_ʰ g/k/_/_ʰ ǵ/ḱ/_/_ʰ //_/_‣ ...

Re: What did you accomplish today?

*wrg h a- 'to fight', *wrk h a-os 'enemy/opponent' These look interesting. Is it possible to read more about this conlang somewhere? [:D] It's been a day full of thoughts for me. I'll most likely introduce a fourth (?) person into Noattȯč. The singular version is something like "One does not do tha...

Re: Noattȯč

Cool, that's an interesting way to derive a new interrogative mood! [...] [+1] I quite like what's explained in this section, especially because of how it's only really used in writing and how modern speakers might get confused over questions and statements in older texts. Thank you! [:$] What does...

Oh, I love that. [<3] But did *-yepa really change to *-eısko? How did that happen? [:O] Looks really interesting!

Re: Noattȯč

Replies: If you do „Geht er nach Nause, der Elefant“ you could end up with VOS as the dominant word order if the pronouns first cliticize to the verb and then are reanalyzed as suffixes, which would be super weird for a language that comes from German (or for any language at all for that matter sin...

Re: Boralian, a North Sea romlang.

I really like this romlang! It's something different and it feels really naturally as well. I especially love the orthography because it's based on historical pronunciations like for /x/ although that still seems a bit weird to me. [:D] I'm excited to see more of this! I still have a few option...

Don't worry, you're not the only one who'd like to sing, but sounds like a suffering whale. [xD] What about starting an official dying animal choir? [xD] It will be fun here, certainly! We even have our own German part of the CBB. Yeah, I saw that part already! Schade, dass er nicht so aktiv ist (/...

Re: Introduction thread(s)

I'm back from my holidays and I saw this thread so I thought I'd introduce myself now! You can call me ixals because I don't want to tell you my real name yet but I can say that I'm young and sweet, only seventeen! (sorry, I had to do that once in my life [:'(] ) I'm from Germany and I love language...

Re: Noattȯč

Haha, seeing the title I thought of Sami, not of Germanic. This is really cool. Thank you! [:$] I don't know if Noattȯč will be pro-drop or not (if not, requiring present time German sentences like: *Ich geh-ich nach Hause.) But if the agreement is real, we would have had present day German sentenc...

Re: Noattȯč

Sounds very interesting! I assume you're from the north of Germany yourself (hence Norddeutsch instead of Süddeutsch , etc.)? How far in the future is this language meant to be spoken? Will the geographical setting in which the language is spoken change significantly from that in which modern Germa...

Noattȯč

I've been visiting this site for more than a year and I think it's time for me to become a part of this community, so I'll present you one of my projects which I work on from time to time and which I really like. I'm still a beginner in my opinion and some things confuse me so nothing will be perfec...
