Considering that in ergative languages, absolutive is generally the unmarked case, I'd guess titles would be in the absolutive. Although, it might depend on how your conculture (if relevant) comes up with titles - I wish I knew more about that in other real-world cultures (I still think the unmarke...

What case would a noun be in in an ergative language when in a title(not in a full sentence)?

Is there an alignment like Split Ergative but it's Split Nominative? Where some intransitive verbs take an accusative subject?

Is a system in which vowel length is affected by the length of the following morphemes realistic?

I often see reference to the fact that Hànzì (Or semanto-phonetic scripts in general) wouldn't work well for synthetic languages. Why not? Wouldn't it be trivial to just have an accusative symbol etc?
