Re: Proper Name, Story of a life...

Sorry to question you with my linguistic experiments... I am aware that it is not always comfortable... Here, in two words, it is a beginning of transposition of the linguistic functioning in work in my conlang where each element is the beginning of a possible speech... Where punctuation is not nece...

Re: RIP cursive handwriting..

You said this the last time I posted a vertical conscript. I guess you are just not particularly used to vertical writing in general. This is not the case for all the vertical scripts that I examine, it is certainly due to a certain dissymmetry, related to the direction of the writing, like a cursi...

Re: RIP cursive handwriting..

Uyendur and Gosudondiul are very cursive writing...
Domun and Qgam Dzwo are more block letters... (and I can not help but lean my head to read them horizontally...)

Re: Enjoy Happyness in your conlang...

I quote it if you prefer: you don't have to make a thread beginning with an image I understand in a forum we must respect the wishes of its owners... The thread "pic of the day" was closed by Aszev before he answers my PM question about some detail to respect what he want... That is his prerogative....

Re: RIP cursive handwriting..

For Talarian, apart from the usual block hand, you can see an example of chancery "ocean waves hand" and a cursive cuneiform here . With the Talarian we are almost to make a link between cuneiform writing and Chinese writing ... I did not notice their proximity ... There's an example of Avantimanni...

Re: Proper Name, Story of a life...

In the World, some names are indeed little more than mnemonics, labels. There is little power in them beyond that granted by knowledge. Deeper names open ever more cunningly wrought locks. Care must be exercised, indeed great caution, before giving someone those keys! Giving someone your facename, ...

Re: It's Time To Change It All...

I once tried to come up with a novel calendar and time keeping method... It was really frustrating to use effectively without some sort of conversion program/chart. Alas, I will likely make one for VDT. Could you like to precise the way you followed... Griuskant numbers use base 10, and the languag...

Re: Proper Name, Story of a life...

Griuskant names usually don't mean anything, and are actually encouraged to have no meaning as to easily identify them as proper nouns/names in a sentence. It seems to be a new phenomenon, in the real world, since people lost their religion, and states name them in numbers... The meaning of a name ...
