No, it isn't. There are many.
Quite many: pint, felt, adapt, fact, loft, post, art...

And although /-mt#/ is not so common, there's at least tempt (as well as attempt, contempt...).

I hope this post wasn't a violation to any of the rules on the forum. It isn't that old of a thread... [xP]

This is a good guide. I'm trying to get a friend into conlanging and he's intimidated by all the sites out there (wikipedia, zompist etc etc) and their explanations. He said he wanted something really simply to follow, and this ― to me ― seems perfect.

Well, anyway, just wanted to say thanks for making the guide. It is very, very helpful. [+1]

As far as I know, there are no rules concerning necromancy.

Yes. Dreamt can also be pronounced as /dɹɛmpt/, if I'm not mistaken.

I've heard speakers elide the 'p'.
I do it sometimes too, though not always.

It's pretty common for an epenthetic stop to appear in this sort of situation (a nasal followed by a fricative).
So <prince> and <prints> would sound the same.

I have no problems in continuing, I just don't see any real demand for it.

Some of us were taught not to demand things, but to wait patiently and if that fails, to ask nicely.

I was going to say something very similar to Keenir's response. [:P]

I would love to see this continued, and I know some others who would as well. [:D]

Continue! I'm demanding! [xP]

I just like reading it. It helps some, especially with the phonotactics section.

the one you want to write. (when the writer is writing what he wants to write, he's more enthusiastic, which tends to help the readers)

Well, I'm starting this up again because you (plural) want me to. I have no problems with that, but I need direction.

As good a direction as any, I guess. Give me a few hours to meditate and I'll have a post up.

Yes, and then also something about the notion of a phrase. That would be the next logical step when we're done with words.

Since I suggested this and have come back to the board and conlanging in general, Would anyone be opposed to me consolodating this into a PDF?
