20 bits

What can I say? It doesn't fit above, put it here. Also the location of board rules/info.

20 bits

Post by Ear of the Sphinx » 16 May 2011 20:23

Some [linguistic] forum game. :-)

The person who leads the game chooses one language and keeps it in secret. Leader writes here whether is it a conlang or a natlang.
Then other people ask questions about the language. The questions can be only binary answered: yes or no.
If a player guess the language right, they become next leader and continue the game.

And no cheating by binar scanning algorithm!

My turn:
it's a conlang.

Oh, this looks interesting. I'll bite:

Can you find this conlang in media (books, movies, video games, whathaveyou)?
[profound statement about language in some aspect]

Conlang not found in books, movies, video games. Not Inyauk, not Esperanto. It is not mine, not Amjati and not auxlang. The conlang has no morphological case.

Guys.

The language is not found in books, movies, or video games.

It is probably not Toki Pona.

After the first question was answered, why in the world was the next guess Esperanto?

It's always what happens in these group guessing games. Nobody bothers to use the information from anyone else's contributions and they all try to play by themselves.

That said, the game's hopeless. It's probably one nobody's ever heard of.

Maybe but oh well. I'll try it anyway.

Was it created by anyone with an forum account either here on in zompist?

Is it an engelang?
Is it Ithkuil?
Can I ask two questions at the same time, or three if you count this one?
(I hope I haven't guessed it right, I should be working...)
