What are you listening to/watching?

What can I say? It doesn't fit above, put it here. Also the location of board rules/info.

Episodes of The Shadow radio show. Brilliant. Chilling. An absolute pleasure to listen to, in a creepy, that-laugh-is-going-to-haunt-me-for-the-rest-of-my-life kind of way. They just don't make them like this anymore...
Edit: Substituted a string instrument for a French interjection.

Agreed. I consider myself a 90s kid, but I always preferred pre-2000 media (songs, movies, TV shows, radio shows, you name it) to the modern ones. I like the occasional good modern action/adventure film, I have a few favorite modern TV shows (though Doctor Who came out in the 60s, so technically...), and the recent rise in superhero movies is feeding an obsession of mine, but still. You can never beat the classics.

And hey, the Knight Rider theme is catchy.
...... *dun dah-dun-dun-dah-dun-dun-dah-dah-dah-dun-dah-dah-dah-dun dun dah-dun-dun-dah-dun-dun-dah-dah-dah-dun-dah-dah-dah-dun repeat ad nauseum*

Also, Quantum Leap. Anyone know that one? I used to watch it with my dad when I was a kid - it was one of the only things our little TV antenna could pick up, and I loved it. I re-found it a few months ago - didn't even remember watching it before until I heard the theme song. Unmistakeable.

Just got caught up on Doctor Who, and now I'm going to maybe play a couple minutes of LEGO Star Wars before I hit the hay.

Found myself running to the bus with Soul Bossa Nova playing in my ears as I was on this marvelous mission. I couldn't help myself laughing. I must've looked insane.

I've never given classical american lit much of a chance for some reason... you know, the great gatsby, truman capote, that kinda stuff. Anywho I picked up an audiobook copy of Catcher in the Rye and HOLY MOTHER OF FUCK man! Sallinger could really write! I mean its no shakespeare or anything, but lemme tell you, he really does have sort of a way with rhythm or something: most oral language-as-text is goddamned annoying as heck but he can almost make it sound just about normal... natural, too! he really can.

Son and I are watching YTP's of the cartoon Hobbit instead of shelling out the dough to see the new flick. Wishing we could mash-up the naughtiest bits of all of them.

One of the best scenes - Warg attack scored to Hungry like the Wolf by Duran Duran.

2nd best scene - Elrond sez "And look here, this says Glamour Hammer" - You go, Gandalf!

3rd best scene - Tie - Thorin gets completely confused with a near-endless introduction of the dwarves \ Dwarves entrance to "Hi Ho" from Snow White

Just plain silly. Not very high-brow, I kno. A needed break from grading.

Gandalf - "I have pressing business away South".
Thorin - "Those are the words of a coward!"

The thing I like with Woodkid singing is that he sounds like he's partly occupied with something else while doing it.
