What can I say? It doesn't fit above, put it here. Also the location of board rules/info.

Sound Transition Game

Post by GamerGeek » 20 May 2017 03:39

Take a word, say [pogo], and have the goal be [stɪk]
I was going to do this before, but I was pushed to do it when it was mentioned in the ConLangs' Q&A
Start word:
[kæt]
Target word:
[dɑg]
Playing the biggest game of Chinese telephone is fun.

kæt > tæk (metathesis) > tætækæ (reduplication) > tædægæ (intervocalic voicing) > tədagə (reduction of vowels) > *tdɑg > dɑg
I like my languages how I like my women: grammatically complex with various moods and tenses, a thin line between nouns and verbs, and dozens upon dozens of possible conjugations for every single verb.
