ConWorkShop

Post by Ahzoh » 09 Feb 2014 06:46

I was browsing UniLang when I came across this site that one of the users made called The Colangers Workshop Which has a lexicon builder, Word Generator, Wordbank, but the most important feature I think, is the Library, it acts very much like a searchable dictionary, so you can add words to it and it can be searched by you and others, It also has settings such as listing pronounciation and etymology. I think you should check it.

This website is truly beautiful. Thanks.
First, I learned English.
Dann lernte ich Deutsch.
Y ahora aprendo Español.

Hmmm... it seems to really really want me to login via Facebook. Though there is an option to NOT do this, it clearly states that they prefer I don't and have to give a reason why I don't want to.

What kind of hooey is this?

Strange...
Only thing is that they want you to get the STANDARD account and give a reason why you want the standard account...

Isn't that what I said? (It states on the privacy page that standard accounts are "not recommended.")

Well they only recommend facebook login if;
  • you don't want cookies,
  • you don't want to have to remember your password
  • don't want potential misusing information(?)
  • would be easier if from one source...
I geuss they are thinking about your security...

But if you login to facebook I don't think you get all the services though... mainly just the dictionary...
so your choice...

From owner:
"Yeah, that was my bad haha. I transferred too much stuff from the site when I was cleaning it up. It'll be back up by March 1st though :/ Then I'll look at a new host, I don't think this one can handle the site very well.

My apologies!"

Is there anyway not to have everything automatically count the uppercase and lowercase forms of the Latin Alphabet?
For example one of my letters is Cƺ and I don't want C to be the uppercase of c

1) What a revelation!

2) Looks like I know what I'll be doing poolside this summer

3) :con: has reached a new level of mutual intelligibility

4) Guess who's gonna be writing in more of your :con: by the end of next summer?

5) Did I mention that this is a a revelation!

[O.O]

Friggin Every little thing she does is magic by the Police happens to be playing on the radio.
I'm transported back to 1980~something, and I'm beating the summer heat on a hard wood floor, scribbling
charts and lists of words that I would learn thirty years later that it's a conlang.

Thank U CWS
[:'(]

PS: I'm worried about that hiccough there.
Glad I still have those bunches of scribbled papers (and woowads of files saved through the years).

Пшэнкня !

1) I like the site a lot.
2) It's pretty well-organized.
3) The irony of one of my favorite songs I used to conlang to in ages past, happened to be playing on the radio while I was mucking around on CWS, and it freaked me out. In a serendipitous/epiphany kind of way.

Do you have access to it?

The Master Control Program has locked me out.
