Isn't the point of the game to not derive the name of the animal in the same way English does?

armadillo = knight + ball + rat

Next: lobster

That does seem to be the convention, but is it explicitly stated anywhere?

I mean, no, I guess it's not explicitly stated to be a rule, but I thought it was pretty clear that the purpose of this game was to come up with a new, original way to derive the name of an animal not taken from a natlang.

Of course, I can't make you play a certain way, nor would I want to. If you're still enjoying the game, then more power to you.

Yeah, I know that's the purpose of the game. I was just joking around.
