OK, so...

Post by masako » 29 Sep 2017 00:48

I spent the better part of 6 months rewriting Kala's grammar...it got to be around 50 pages of a pdf...then, because I forgot to email it to myself, I lost the whole thing. So, I put up a very general outline on FrathWiki. Please, rip it to shreds, tell me what I'm missing, what sounds stupid, what needs to be explained better, anything. Thanks in advance.

Oof! That's got to hurt [:(] Was it down to a computer crash or something?
You can tell the same lie a thousand times,
But it never gets any more true,
So close your eyes once more and once more believe
That they all still believe in you.
Just one time.

Nope. I had saved it on a public computer for editing and when I logged off it was cleared from the temp folder.

I appreciate the condolences.

Any thoughts on the grammar? http://www.frathwiki.com/Kala

:mrred: [¬.¬] [:(] [:'(]

The year 2014 was the bane of mine own existence. I bent the metal plug of my main USB drive that contained 3 of my most productive years' worth of conlanging, journaling, academic/didactic goodies, and I can't even remember what else… Ungh! Totaly sympathize, masako. The absolutely only thing I can say, is that {and I kno this sounds as corny as heck}: somehow, this makes us stronger. Somehow [¬.¬]

Once I get some grade-entry updates under my belt, I swing over to take a look.

A Wilkins syndrome, a pity... (sure, for Wilkins, the Great Fire of London, hard to beat...)
And like Wilkins, the rebuilding is done...
For myself, after a HD crash , I decided nevermore to stock my conlang, except in mind (gosh, I fear thinking of the next crash...)
