This is something I would definitely do, but I worry I'd get bogged down trying to make the names clever. [:$]
Don't worry, even the Pokémon company gave up too.

I'd be really interested in how some Silvish Pokémon names would look like! Would you ever translate some if you're in the mood? [:D] (But I had the same problem as well when I tried it the last time. The names weren't too clever and I think most clever names are only possible if a conlang is really fleshed out, sadly)

Made this. Hopefully someone will find it useful!
Edit: And also this, which, like the Conlang Census, I also hope will be of use to the community!

Looks nice!
I would like to try at least some of that 19 chap. questionnaire on one or two of my concultures.

THANKS!

I had thought of Pokémon in :lat:, so moving from there into my Romlang Cedara may be an easy-level first choice:
http://blogs.transparent.com/latin/poke ... red-names/

https://thelinguistgamer.wordpress.com/ ... %e3%83%b3/

But I like some of the French Pokémon names as well-
http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/ ... 9mon_names

Mebbe I'd use them (where different) for Cedara names for the mega-mutatio forms (?)

But I would also like to see how my other langs would handle some of the Pokémon, for sure!

I was rather surprised when i found out Pokémon names are actually translated, since Portuguese takes them all straight from English

Made my Category 2 Intransitives...not as many as I'd have liked, and (maybe) regular...but enough between them and my first post, to provide a good base/springboard from which to try diachronics.

Well as a German I was actually surprised when I found out that they're not translated in other languages! [:D]

And sure I'm not alone in saying I'd like to see the results!

For that matter, I've been meaning for the longest time to try it out on some of mine! [:$]

Yeah sure. I think I'll have to plan things out a little so I can avoid getting stuck.

That'd be cool to see. [:)] Thanks for sharing those links, about Latin and French. I knew Pokémon had French names, but I never thought to look for a page of just their French names.

So I did the thing. It wasn't too bad, actually, and I'm rather satisfied with the Cleverness Quotient™ of the names; I figure it's no lower than the English ones.

Without actually knowing all that much about OE, your choice of verb form confuses me. Isn't that a gerund?
At kveldi skal dag lęyfa,

Mæki es ręyndr es,
Męy es gefin es,
Ís es yfir kømr,

Well since Old English was 'English' when it was spoken, what you've written would be about right.
