What are you listening to/watching?

What can I say? It doesn't fit above, put it here. Also the location of board rules/info.

Watching a marathon of Gumby. I am convinced that Gumby is the TARDIS, as seen from the TARDIS's own 'home dimension'. Pokey is the Doctor, grumpy and snide, but helpful...okay, not so helpful. Don't get me started on Ian and Babs whoops
Brigadier and Liz um... Harry and Sara Jane zoiks Adric and Nyssa I mean, Prickle and Goo.

Gumby 'entering' books = So wanna be able to do that...still.

And his crazy forward moonwalk without a skateboard: I still wanna do that!

I'm having a crisis about college right now, so this requires drastic measures to calm. The perfect cure is an infusion of Liquid Dubstep from Ramseses B with his nurse aide, Laura Brehm, titled Transformations.

I love this song so much. Possibly one of my favorite songs ever.

Drove way into the country, listening to Coldplay XYZ, among others. Smelling the sweetening miles and miles of corn, the freshly mown hay, and the faint aromas of roses and juicy ripening peaches on the summer breeze. Just phenomenal!

A few days ago, finally saw Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Battle for the Planet of the Apes is well-deservedly spinning in its grave. Pretty much 87% of every thing stupid and just wrong done in Battle was rectified in Rise.

I just saw Guardians of the Galaxy. My inner Marvel comic-kid was doing summersaults. [:D]
My inner Star Wars kid suffered a brown note (Marvel raises bar). [:S]

House, M.D. I've been on a marathon today, what with being sick from work. I barely was able to drag my lazy butt to the table to do some conlanging.

Freaks and Geeks... FINALLY! [:P]

Has anyone else seen Numb3rs? It is definitely my favorite tv show ever. I'm so sad it's over. [:'(] [:'(] [:'(]

I watched a few episodes, and really quite liked it, but I think because I didn't have a TV after that point, I never really caught back up with it. I liked the basic premise, especially the way it tried to go "hey, look, you can use the complex maths you learn in late high school or college in real life" which, you know, awesome, but at the end of the day, it was basically a maths-based version of every other murder-mystery TV programme. Eventually, and somewhat ironically for Numb3rs (I think), it becomes predictable. That could be a slight tendency of mine towards solving the mystery rather than connecting with the characters, though [:P]

Me, too, but partly because I had a David Krumholtz thing going on (particularly post-haircut). If I had to quibble, it would be that it, like many shows of the time, shot a lot in blue filter and/or the bleached-out overexposed photograph look (perhaps a palette symptomatic of the contemporary economic crisis? very edgy). At least Numb3rs made it a distinction; the FBI building scenes are shot in blue filter, while the home scenes are in warm, rich, ochre-infused tones. I thought we'd moved on beyond that trend, but TV5 Monde likes to play (rehash? haven't noticed the copyrights) Canadian dramas late at night. Québecois seem to just refuse to be happy. Angst-ridden; in blue filter; low, disturbing, unending bass drone punctuated by single, high piano notes like tinkling icicles; stifling burden played out in utterly irredeemable joual. Geez, could you people smile, without souffrance or irony, once in a while? Pour yourself a bowl of glass shards to munch on as you wade into the tortured winterscapes, even en plein été, of Quebecker daily life... [o.O]

Lately, I've been listening to the album Tourist History by Two Door Cinema Club quite a lot.

They should call themselves Thotoureau Diabolique. Sounds like the Parsifal-organ music for some kind of Infernal Circus. [O.o]

Watching a slew of Matt Smith DW. Still not my fave, but I respect his choice of companions.

I saw Torco pays a visit to CBB, and for some reason, this song leaps to mind:

I quite liked him. I liked the personality and the combination of "dark" and "a bit mental in that clumsy way the mad are" [:P] I mean, post-Time War Doctors probably should have that dark element to them, what with having done what he did, but I think Matt Smith's Doctor was a nice move on from David Tennants.

A music-TV station plays only Michael Jackson's music today. I almost forgot about his birthday.

Thanks!
I watched his legendary moonwalk on Motown 25 - Wow!

Listened to a bunch of ska tunes...

I finally saw Taken - Pretty heavy-duty [O.O]

Now I'm watching....well, here's a clue:

Finally saw Frozen. VG+ for the music. VG visuals as well.
Kudos to Disney. The bad guy was a real prick, but not developed enough; too much of a "snake in the grass" or malvado ex machina for my taste.

Still, very nice flick...with Norse Runes!
Beaten to the punch, apparently...

Kópasker rúntur.

An exciting trip in a small Icelandic village. Have a look at the post office, the slaughterhouse and the harbour!

Finished watching the miniseries "Over the garden wall", which is really good (and I loved the soundtrack). I've been also watching the board game review series "shut up and sit down" again (I fell behind and want to catch up) and the anime Kino's Journey (partly to getting mood/inspiration for a game I'm designing).
