update:

Sex(Biological): prefer not to say

Gender(Grammatical): you decide :)
I prefer to not be referred to with masculine pronouns and nouns such as “he/him/his”.

Might as well update too…

Alias(es): shimobaatar
Location: Pennsylvania, US
Date of birth: 1997
Gender: Private - I'd rather not deal with the biases (both conscious and unconscious) people have towards any and all gender identities.
Occupation: Student
Interests: Linguistics, history, anthropology, sociology, geography.
Favorite music: My tastes seem to vary on a song-to-song basis. There are very few genres that I flat-out don't like.
Political ideology: Private - I'd like to avoid as many arguments as possible.
Conlangs: Many, many language family ideas for my conworld. Who even knows exactly how many at this point?
Other hobbies: Conlanging, conworlding, writing, playing video games, watching TV and movies, reading.
Where do you see yourself in ten years? I don't know. I think I kind of like it that way.

Off the top of my head.

Sex can either mean:
  • generally, an act related to reproduction or some form of titillation/arousal
  • a person's biological chromosomes and/or reproductive organs - either male (penis/XY), female (vagina/XX), or intersex (other)
And gender can mean:
  • in linguistics and when discussing languages and their morphosyntax - a category of nouns, a noun class
  • the set of socially constructed roles and categories that a person feels most comfortable closely identifying themselves with, regardless of whether or not that identity matches up with the one that the majority of society tells the person to identify with based on their biological sex; in western culture, the two socially constructed categories are male and female - people can identify as one or the other, or both, or neither, or any combination of identities, whether static or constantly changing throughout their lives; many people see gender as a spectrum of sorts rather than a binary pair of categories - again, an individual can place themselves wherever they want on or off that spectrum at any given time; an individual's gender identity is based completely on their own feelings, preferences, and comfort
I think it's an easy concept to grasp that words can mean different things in different contexts/situations, even though those differences may be small.

Sorry if that's hard to read or a bit messy - It's 4:30 am and I'm exhausted and this is a sensitive topic for me that I want people to understand. I know many people who suffer both physically and mentally every day because most people don't understand.

Gosh, I hope not, Skógvur!
What's the reason behind this pessimism?
If you're planning to die of old age, I'm way ahead of you, and I don't plan to be gone in ten years.

Old age seems like a scary prospect.

YAY!!! [:D] As far as I've seen on the CBB, that now makes you the third person to live in North Yorkshire alongside myself, from Bedale, and decem, from Darlington [:)]

Three? Good! On an international board, that sounds like good going for a county of 600k people. [:)]

I'm aware of the other stories, but not got round to them. Did you know the BBC and partners have made a TV mini-series of "Jonathan Strange"? It's been awaited for a while, but at last it looks to be imminent. There's a promising 30 second trailer on YouTube now:

I saw parts of it in a kind of combined trailer last night on BBC, just before University Challenge started, and I instantly paused it and rang up my ex just to make sure she knew it was coming at some point this year [:P]

If I just did the maths on that properly, then people living in North Yorkshire are over-represented on the CBB, making up 25 times more members here than they make up as a percentage of the world population. CONQUER THE INTERNET!!!
