Well, we think we do. Ain't that enough? If it's all a humongous cosmic joke, well, giant middle finger to the powers that be. It's been swell, but don't you have something else to be doing?

BINGO!
Rather than kitbash some Latinate letter for the Romanization, these work just fine for my dastardly plans.

Certainly, as an American, I'm not of Her Maj's subjects.

But she has certainly understood what "duty" means (and that must suck certain days -- (One more ribbon-cutting,and I swear, I'll blow my brains out! -- and yet she does it anyway, for country and realm (as understood at the time)).

Whether I, as a non-subject to Her Majesty, thinks this is an obsolete institution (and I don't -- the will of the UK electorate, so be it ), is immaterial. I truly dread her passing. It will be a redefining moment -- obviously on historical levels, but personally . May I survive it -- I was a mess after Diana and the Queen Mother ( and those weren't even moments of monarchy (the Queen Mother also fully understood "duty" ). And did hers.
