Re: Guess the Word in Germanic Conlangs
Assuming it has one, did the Proto-Germanic ancestor of the initial morpheme begin with a consonant cluster?
Re: Guess the Word in Germanic Conlangs
Did the word begin with ga- in Proto-Germanic?

You are correct. You figured out this pretty quickly. I thought most people would be tripped by the first and last of the morphemes. Yes, the word гликън is related to Biblical Gothic galeiks, Old Norse glíkr, Low German gliek, all from Proto-Germanic *galīkaz. I used the oblique case here as opposed to the nominative.
Now let's see some Sortsbergish!

And yes, I was just thinking that I needed to get back into using Sortbergish. This one was fun to come up with and might be a little challenging, but I have the Old Sortsbergish version ready to go as a hint if need be.

Is the compound made up of more than two elements (not counting inflectional endings, etc.)?
