'hi:əv => ?i'ə:v

Change of the stress onto the 2nd syllable and changing syllable length, initial /h/ to /?/

In contrast to popular perception, I do have a life. I just choose to spend it conlanging.

Obviously this has gone on for more than 20 turns.

ˈɡʌvɚnmənt > ˈɡʊvəmənʔ > ˈɡuvəmənʔ > ˈɡuːvmən > ˈguovmen > ˈkuoumen > ˈkʷoumen > ˈpoumẽ > ˈpaʊmĩ > ˈpɔmiː > ˈpɔːmie > ˈpumije > ˈpʏmʲə > ˈfʏme > ˈfʏ̃be > ˈfỹːbœ > ˈfyvœ > ˈpʰiːbɛu̯ > bʱəɪbəʊ > bʱɪːbʊː -> viːbuː > ˈwiːəbu > ˈhiːəv > ʔiˈəːv > əˈjɛːf

If I may, next word: <excruciating> /ekˈskɹuːʃiˌjeɪtiŋ/
This is the world.

ekˈskɹu:ʃiˌjeɪtiŋ > eˈskru:ˌʃjeɪtin

1) simplification of cluster ksk>sk
2) simplication of CijV>CjV
3) ŋ>n

/e'skruːʃeɪtin/ → /ə'skruːʃeːtĩ/

1) Monophtongization of /eɪ/ to /eː/
2) Pretonic short vowels turn to schwa
3) Syllable final /n/ nasalizes the precedent vowel and then is lost.

ˈʃt͜ɬuːʒeɪzʲ

/s/ -> /ʃ/ in initial consonant cluster (like in German)
/e:/ -> /ei/ diphthongization of long mid vowels
/zi/ -> /zʲ/ cheshirisation of lost /i/.

Just to through a hint of Salishan into proceedings:

sɘsʲ > sʃ

So close your eyes once more and once more believe
That they all still believe in you.
